Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Management
- Coordination and documentation of all daily construction-site operations
- Utilization of construction management software for successful logistics
- Procurement of all necessary equipment, tools, and materials
- Orchestrates a team-approach with Project Manager, Architect, and Engineers
- Quality Control
- Ensures compliance with the contract documents
- Authors Requests for Information
- Checks work for adherence to local building codes
- Leads the construction team in adherence to company standards
- Scheduling
- Production and distribution of the 3-week look-ahead schedule
- Assists the Project Manager in updates to the master schedule
- Daily monitoring of subcontractor performance and schedule adherence
- Adaptation to site weather impacts, with a can-do attitude
- Coordinates city inspections and special inspections
- Safety
- Performs daily safety walks
- Adheres to company safety policies
- Records weekly jobsite safety compliance
- Maintenance of OSHA certification
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to read construction drawings, plans, and specs
- Demonstrates strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Excels at motivating a team, and has a strong management skillset
- Communicates well with project team members
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, etc.
